Dearest Supporters of the Typewriter,

For Issue IX of our magazine, we are channeling another seasonal theme: Crinkled Leaf!

As fall propels us forward into the dark demise of winter, we all cannot help but feel like we’re being slowly but surely pulled away from the summer, the sun, the laughter. Days are getting shorter, temperatures are getting lower, and we are closing up. We are drifting away from the easy lightheartedness of summer.

Whether you take this to be a blessing or a curse, we do not know. However, we cannot wait to find out.

We want to hear your take on what the transition from fall brings you; a friendly chill in your bones, perhaps a bit of seasonal sadness, the endless, ever-cyclical nature of our beautiful Earth.

Whatever your autumn means to you, write it! And submit it!

A crinkled leaf is curling up, up, up and away, hibernating for winter, fallen from its mother tree. Letting go before winter’s harsh fingers pluck it away.

Give us your hibernation.

Good luck, and as always, we cannot wait to read what you’ve dreamt up!

Yours,

The Typewriter
