For the fourth issue of The Typewriter, we have decided on a theme of Fallen Sunlight.
For this magazine, we want to truly emphasize the feel of sunlight slanting through leaves in the forest; the altered form of light you find only through certain objects, and in certain places.
Picture morning light penetrating the clouded windows of medieval castles that have long since fallen into disuse, stirring up storms of dust and must.
Imagine the feel of the warmth on your face, then the slow realization that the heat isn’t penetrating the glass, or the foliage of the trees; your hands can dance in the sunlight, but never feel it; an illusion
Fallen Sunlight is the picture of mid-day, when in reality it’s the period just before or after the sun is disappeared.
We want to hear your take on this in-between, this phantom of warmth, this shattered and cracked lumos.
Submissions will close the 31st of May.
Be sure to stay tuned for IVY, coming out May 15th.
As always, we can’t wait to see what you dream up
Yours,
The Typewriter
