Dear Supporters of The Typewriter,

For our sixth issue, we would like to attempt to harness the majesty of a mountaintop surrounded by a ring of nimbulosity. Additionally, we would like to announce an update in our inspiration statements. As we are sure you all know, us editors typically draft a letter detailing the next issue’s theme for our blog section. We will now be attaching a Pinterest board inspired by the theme to provide our writers with more tangible creativity prompters (and let’s be real- who doesn’t like a Pinterest board?). They will be found on the site under the heading Themed Boards, so be sure to check them out if you‘re searching for something to get those creative juices flowing.

For Clouded Mountaintop, we want to embody the prowess of mountains as a whole. Their rocky stature high above the rest of the world have a sort of motherly embrace; protective, but always out of reach. And us, her (and Mother Nature’s) children, can merely gawk up at her splendor. And the clouds that she attracts, of course, only help to obscure her more. A veil that can be as thick as linen, or as thin as lace. Feel the quest to reveal her — Mother Majesty — for this issue and truly harness your curiosity, the minuteness we all feel as humans, and everything you feel when gazing upon the unattainable. As always, we cannot wait to see what you dream up!

Yours,

The Typewriter
